Nawaz Sharif: The Reality, Dictator or Democrat

It was reported today that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who is calling for restoration of Pre-November 2 Judiciary had harassed, Jasmine Manzoor, anchor for Business Plus TV when she was asking questions to the said. Nawaz Sharif lost his temper when asked routine questions about deals, etc, grabbed the tape and warned her that he would see how she left Raiwind if she aired it.

There was a press conference aired at 7:00 PM local time by Business Plus TV, in which Jasmine Manzoor and Rana Mubashir spoke about Nawaz Sharif’s behavior . It is also reported that ARY one world pulled out there story last minute when received threats.

This is not just a question about Nawaz Sharif, rather it about the so called Leaders who call them selves democratic. There has been previous stories like these which had been reported.

It is also very much impressive of Mr.Sharif, Ex-Primer, that his fight is for restoration of Pre-November 2 Judiciary. There are many other concerns that has come up with respect to these democratic leaders.

Mr. Sharif also showed up at Geo News “Yak-jahti” camp and supported media’s independence. Where as the President Pervez Musharraf, an ex-Uniformed President and ex-Army General, allowed 57 television channels to open and broadcast news and current affairs. The question that you might see after looking at this video at youtube know as “President Pervez Musharraf vs. Syed Adnan Kakakhel”, one just keeps on thinking what is wrong here, dictator are democratic and democrats are dictators.

The question to ask is how and when will we have these norms in our so-called democratic leaders? And do we really need some dictator like Musharraf to teach them these norms?

According to BBC the owner of the TV channle “Business Plus” is Salaman Taseer who is the minister in Current Governement and the TV channle was the first to be aired after emergency.
Is n’t this enough for the credibility of the event ?

Dear Muhammad ! as a reply, i would like to mention, who ever own it, it doesnt matter, point is the freedom which is for everyone, no matter someone is in govt or not.
if it really happened, then i am afraid, to say, how can the nation trust the person, who can arrest ‘najam sethi’ when he reports BBC about ”Sugar Crises” and role of Mills owned by Shareef Family.
Also, person who is demanding pre-03 Nov Justice and visiting GEO channel camps, is involved was involved him November 1997 attack on Supreme Court, on whose orders, police didnot dare to stop the ”mob”.
Musharraf (being dictator) allowed 57channels (who day and night comment only bad things, and never portrait anything good. ( Keep in mind, most of channel owners are rich millionaire people, whose interest are not with Musharraf). Musharraf gave this freedom (who was never granted by the Democratic leaders, twice in the power).
So now Musharraf is paying for this mistake.
Real test will start sir, when these democratic leaders will be in power, and how their behaviour is going to be with these 57 channels.
Mr. nawaz shareef can order ISI to capture ”najam sethi” , because he was just one man creating problem, and allegations which were brought against him were ” that he was doing things against national interests”. (it was later american interference, who helped mr. sethi to be released).
But please note down, controlling one person, was easy for them, how they will control 57 channels (and not just 57 people).

if you dont have any personal interest from any of the leader, then i do hope, that it will open your eyes, and yes , there is no shame (if you really review your views), being honest citizen, its your job, to correct your self each passing day.
May ALLAH show each of us , right path (Aameen), and we are honest in our duties.

Nawaz Sharif or the late Benazir Bhutto, both had been given two chances and they blew it. No sane person would vote for either (too bad Ms Bhutto isn’t around).
I say we should give some new face a chance. One who has clear records.

Perhaps! Nawaz Sharif gave a lot of interviews after his return and most of the times he faced very touf/ hard questions. But not even for single time we heard such incident.
Perhaps! Every one knows in Pakistan that Business Plus TV’s 2 honorable persons are honorable ministers in present caretaker setup.

1) Honorable Mr. Salmaan Taseer (Federal Minister)
2) Honorable Dr. Mubashir Luqman ( Minister in Punjab )

Isn’t all above looks a different story. Why only this type of negative situation created with a TV channel of 2 caretaker ministers ????

With due respect, a lot of Pakistani people are thinking that this is another targeted & preplanned episode of “Pre-poll Rigging” by present regeme & caretaker setup with a leading opposition party .

If I am wrong ????? plz. Guide ????

Its just looks like a “ propaganda war“ of
“Gen. Musharaf’s B & C team”.

At the name of “Freedom of Media”:
“Gen. Musharaf’s B & C team” trying to create misunderstandings & confusion about a major opposition leader “Nawwaz Shaarif “.

But why Gen. Musharaf’s B & C team forgotten that:

1)Business Plus was the 1st TV channel who got permission of airing it’s transmission, after emergency. Is it without any deal ?????????
2)Mr. Saalmaan Taseeer( the owner of Business Plus) was a Ex- PPP leader & MNA. Now he is Federal Minister. Is it without Deal ?????????

Is there any thing more to understand ??????

Business Plus TV team was not as innocent, as they are trying to show.

In my very humble opinion, all the matter was the integrated part of “ Pre- Poll Rigging “.
&
Salman Taseer & Mubashir Luqman(2 caretaker ministers of Gen. Musharaf ) contributed in this governmental assignment by their TV channel.

As I am as a senior Lahore based journalist, personally know the credibility and intellectual honesty of caretaker setup, hence can,t even 1 % trust on the story.

must need to add (with due respect) that apparently looking that Mr. Mubashir Luqman (Minster in Punjab) is apparently working on some hidden (perhaps- very open) agenda of damaging the credibility of PMLN by each & every mean.

So in this connection, his subordinates created the whole drama.

No one in literate circle and Business Plus Tv’s viewer ship found any truth in Jasmeen’s version.

Probably she thinks that she is most difficult anchor person for program guest. She must need to personally watch other TV programs.

Many hosts of many Pakistani & international channels have already questioned Nawaz sharif on same issue with very strong cross questioning. Never even 1 time in last 4 years Nawaz Sharif rushed and attacked on any TV channel.

Than why he need to attack on Business Plus TV.

Jasmeen must now openly admit that she created all this on the special demand of Gen. Musharraf.

Very Simple question?

Every one knows that in each & every interview, Nawaz Sharif faced very hard few questions (about some Deal). All the time he answered every thing very politely. Than why only in the case of Business plus TV, he became rude on few questions ????

Very Simple answer:

Probably it’s not as simple as briefed by Business Plus team. Can any one ignore the 100 % chances of direct involvement of present caretaker government in this matter ????

No. I don,t think so. Because & definitely because Business Plus TV’s chairman Salman Taseer Sb. & COO. Mubashir Luqman Sb. Both are caretaker ministers. One in federal govt. & one in Punjab Govt.

All this hue and cry created in the media against Musharraf is PAID by Nawaz Sharif, that’swhy he lost his cool when facing Business Recorder, as he knew that were REFUSED to be bought by him! The questions at which Nawaz lost cool were “why Shujaat and Mushahid left PML-N and when did you realise that your agreement with Saudi was of 5 years and not 10 years”? He had no answer, therefore threw out his opponent TV channel ! Now this surely shows how DEMOCRATIC their behaviour and minds are! How will they tolerate the opposition parties when they come to power? This incompetent Nawaz who grew under the wings of Zia-ul-Haq and had the ISI support to make the IJI under help of Hameed Gul, is creating ripples again by using Hameed Gul to Organize and lead processions of lawyers, bribing Media and now the latest ex-Servicemen society. N. Sharif has only proven one thing after leaving Saudi Arabia: that he is a habitual liar. First he lied about the deal, then he lied about the Pakistan government’s involvement/agreement in the deal, and then he lied about the duration of the deal. He told three bald-faced lies to deny a truth.
Some N.S supporters have been ridiculous arguments here to deny and/or justify N.S’s dictatorial behaviour towards Business Plus TV interviewers. So what if two ministers are owners of this channel? Is that a justification for behaving in this undemocratic way?
Some argue that other channels have asked N.S “tough” questions and he didn’t snap, so why would he snap now? This is said to deny the accuracy/occurence of the incident. Yet channels generally do not pose “tough” questions to Sharif since many of these interviewers and channel owners support N.S. Business Plus, not being a puppet of N.S decided to actually ask him tough questions. Being an inept and intellectually low individual, N.S reacted in a manner that is an integral part of his nature: he showed his true colors by denying the reporters their right to question him and by acting like the dictator he truly is.
There can be little doubt that if this habitual liar and scoundrel, God forbid, again comes to power that in a matter of 2 years we will have only 1 channel remaining in Pakistan. Musharraf is a humble and tolerant guy. But not N.S. He cannot manage less than half the criticism that is being directed towards Musharraf presently.

I really do not understand why people cannot see the gray in the black and the white ! all mr Ns ever talks about is restoring the judiciary has he forgotten what happened to Sajjad ali Shah or was no step taken then because mr NS was the pm ! all this talk about corruption what happened to the whole “Karaz utaro mulk swaroon” money ? i have stopped watching the bloody news ! with all the “oh i am so upset my party didn’t ask me before attending the dinner with the PM” what is this ? a country ? Or is this a mine is bigger than your competition- i am not saying all Musharraff’s policy’s were great ! i am just saying - appreciate the good and open your eyes at what turmoil our country faced since 1990 onwards ! i can never understand how people living in houses worth billions of rs in Pakistan and owning apartments in London -Saudia Arabia can talk about helping the poor- have they ever in their lives stopped to think to help their country by parting with their own wealth - all these cat fights and these snide remarks on tv - all this Abysmal !

Dear sir, going through all the posted comments, one can very easily spot two types of comments. One genuine and other planted by the vested interests.
We all know how democratic our political culture is, all so called political parties are nothing more that private parties limited, no hostile take over is allowed.
The management of this platform must see to it that plant messeges are not published. These very easily can be spotted, just look for so called professors and doctors, they stand out like a sore thumbs.

The guys who are saying to BAN THE TV CHANNEL first tell me what GEO TV is doing? Aren’t they damaging the respect & pride of our beloved Pakistan by showing illiteracy and terrorism GEO TV always try to present Pakistan a backward country at least Business Plus TV is not doing so.

So now I request PEMRA to ban GEO TV and seal the accounts as well so that no one dares to insult our Pakistan.

As far as Nawaz’s behavior is concern so I wanna mention few things here,

Nawaz is the man who took 1 arab 50 crore from Usama Bin Laden in Saudia Arabia just to help Mujahideen but he didn’t give even a paisa to Mujhaideen. Now what are you people expecting from such person???
