It would seem that the maker of the iPhone needs more space to stretch its wings, which is why Apple is thinking of building a new campus somewhere in the USA and there are two top contenders, at the moment.
Apple's plans are part of a pledge the company has made to invest $350 billion in the United States over the next five years, hire 20,000 more Apple employees, and set up a new Apple campus.
According to a report from CNBC on Wednesday, Apple is vetting the Tar Heel State as a site for a new campus in the state's Research Triangle region that will house technical support staff at first, and possibly expand with other operations. Numerous first new hires at the facility will be call center workers. The company is looking at plots of land in Northern Virginia and in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park (RTP). The officials have proposed several possible locations for the new Apple headquarters, with two of the locations also offered to Amazon.
There are reports that Apple is actually really close to announcing a deal that it will be bringing up to 10,000 new jobs to North Carolina.

Sergio Ramos targets "dream" Champions League final victory over Liverpool
The legendary shot-stopper has won dozens of trophies at domestic and global level but only Champions League trophy eludes him. Plans have been put in place for a victory parade for Liverpool should they win the Champions League later this month.
Apple's decision to open a new headquarters in North Carolina is reportedly a "done deal" as soon as a bill is passed approving a series of incentives for Apple.
Of course, Amazon is also considering Northern Virginia as one of 20 finalists for the 50,000-job HQ2, along with D.C. and Montgomery County, Md.
If the report is true, it would mean that a scenario where Apple and Amazon will be building headquarters in Northern Virginia will be avoided.
By conducting its search in relative secrecy Apple has taken a different tact in seeking its new space, something Apple chief executive Tim Cook highlighted in a recent interview when he said "we're not doing a beauty contest kind of thing". Part of that investment will go towards a new campus, located away from the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California.
There are also some connections to the company that could help Northern Virginia's chances. Economic development officials from Fairfax, Loudoun and Arlington counties declined to comment. The new campuses will not be anything like the previous ones.
