Mark your calendars, friends, because as per the banner Amazon posted to its United Kingdom website on Thursday, Prime Day will be July 16. Prime Day deals are exclusively available for Prime customers so Amazon tends to run a recruitment drive before the big day - expect a £20/$20 discount on the usual subscription price if you're not already a Prime member (if you are already a member you'll probably be out of luck on that one). Amazon has also offered a small discount to users in the past, in an attempt to boost its subscriptions numbers before the big day, so it's worth waiting if you don't already have a subscription.

Amazon Prime Day 2018 will begin on July 16, giving you a little less than a month to save up for some fantabulous deals - assuming you're an Amazon Prime member, that is.

The company on Thursday posted a banner to its United Kingdom website indicating that July 16 would be the date of the event, TechRadar reports. The banner for Prime Day 2018 did not indicate if it will start at the same time again this year. Last year's Prime Day was only 30 hours, so this time you've got even extra time to land a sweet Black Friday-quality deal.

Agony for Korea as VAR gifts Sweden victory
With the stadium's stands mostly occupied by Sweden's yellow jersey, Jo could well have felt the pressure. Which TV channels will broadcast FIFA World Cup 2018 Sweden v/s South Korea match?

Prime Day comes later than expected and TechRadar speculates the 2018 World Cup edition in Russian Federation might be to blame. It detailed that Prime Day "starts at noon, 16 July" and that it will be "an epic day (and a half) of deals".

In terms of what deals to expect, you can certainly count on an Amazon Prime subscription drive in the days or weeks leading up to Prime Day 2018. Yet others have reported that Prime Day 2018 will be on July 17th, 2018.

While Amazon's best-sellers during Prime Day are generally their own devices, like the Echo, Kindle, and Fire TV Stick, this year could be a bit different.
