  • WWDC 2018 Not To Feature Any Major Hardware Announcements

WWDC tends to be more of a software event but previously harware has been announced at the event. The Cupertino giant will also be adding a slew of features to its iOS, macOS and other platforms.

According to Apple, 81 percent of the billion iOS devices available in the wild are on the latest release. The firm is expected to show off "ARKit 2.0", an upgraded version of its developer platform that will enable multiplayer gaming through its ability to save and share the locations of both users and augmented reality objects. However, with the update, iPhones with NFC will soon be able to unlock doors of hotel rooms, vehicle doors among others. At the event, the company not only showcase the world, the latest iterations of its operating system and the ecosystem. The growth comes as Apple's top-selling product, the iPhone, hasn't been selling as briskly as investors had hoped after last fall's much-anticipated release of the super-premium iPhone X. And there are indications that macOS 10.14 will called Mojave, after the Mojave desert in California. We'll be bringing you all the news as and when it happens, though, so if you'd rather spend your evening doing something more productive you can just check back and read about what happened.

On Monday, Apple will hold its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose. In general though, iOS 12 is predicted to largely be stability updates and bug fixes.

The benchmark results suggest that the MacBook is running macOS 10.13.4 as its operating system, and that it will come with 32GB of DDR4 RAM. This shift in iOS' software development has been discussed for quite some time now; it'll be interesting to see exactly how Apple will accomplish this.

The outperformance can be attributed to the strong performance of iPhone along with gradual expansion of the company's services business that include revenues from Internet Services, App store, Apple Music, AppleCare, Apple Pay, and licensing and other services.
