Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne is sticking to Toronto for the day, including a visit to a street festival.

There's one piece of news that really matters today: Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne has conceded defeat ahead of the election and is now asking voters to keep her party around as a check against whatever government comes next. "Electing a Doug Ford government will do exactly that". On Thursday, Ms. Wynne told reporters that she did not recall the situation: "I don't recall a contentious exchange with Glen Murray, I just don't recall", she said. Therefore, she says people should vote Liberal to ensure the other parties can not win anything except a minority.

But she says that change can not be a majority government for Conservative Doug Ford or the NDP's Andrea Horwath.

After vowing for weeks to deliver a fully costed platform, Ontario's Progressive Conservatives on Wednesday quietly released a compilation of their campaign promises that doesn't say how they will pay for their pledges. "There is a strong appetite for change, for a change in government".

Ford, meanwhile, had little to say about Wynne's announcement, noting only that the election is about change and people are fed up with the Liberals.

Ms. Horwath sent a letter to Ontario's Integrity Commissioner on Friday morning, asking the office to probe the findings of The Globe's investigation.

Local Liberal candidates are praising Wynne for taking a stepping back, and making this election less about herself.

The officer can be seen striking Weinman in the head, and she is handcuffed and walked to a police vehicle . The two wrestle on the ground, as she repeatedly shouts "get the fuck off me" and "I didn't do anything".

"That's going to sort itself out - people are going to make that decision ... it's going to be one or the other and let's make sure there are enough Liberals there that there isn't a blank cheque - that there's a check on a majority government".

But Wynne says people should vote Liberal to prevent the NDP or PC from securing a majority. "We're focused on our plan for lower taxes, lower hydro rates and lower gas prices for the people".

Like a true political chameleon, she'll do and say whatever she thinks will win her votes. In those ridings, a collapse of the Liberal vote could result in the PCs winning the seat, even if much of the Liberal vote went to the NDP. And I will fight for them.

"It would be great if all of us agreed that inclusion and acceptance of difference was what we believed in and we shared that value system", Wynne said.

The latest polls have the NDP and the Progressive Conservatives neck-and-neck, with the Liberals floundering. "It's to ensure Doug Ford doesn't [form] a majority government", she said.

They settled on an accord by which the NDP would agree not to cast non-confidence votes against the Liberal government, headed by Peterson, for two years in return for the Liberals' agreeing to pursue an agenda on which the two parties could agree.

There are serious decisions that voters in Ontario have to make.
