Michael Rotondo, the 30-year-old man who became worldwide news after his parents took him to court to force him to move out of home, has finally left the nest... but not before calling the cops on his dad over a fight about some Lego.

Rotondo's cousin reportedly helped him move out of his parents' NY home Friday morning. Syracause.com reports that Rotondo left 2-1/2 hours before the noon deadline set by a judge last week.

This type of family drama usually doesn't make the news, but Rotondo's parents took the unusual step of filing a lawsuit against their son to get him out of their house, where he'd been living for eight years.

In other notes, they offered $1,100 to help their son find a new place to live and said they'd help fix his broken-down vehicle, which was parked on their property.

A judge ordered Mr Rotondo to find somewhere else to live last week. The hatchback got a little help from some jumper cables, and Rotondo offered the members of the media gathered outside a tasteful honk of the horn before leaving the block. The lego was reportedly found after police arrived. Michael Rotondo expressed relief Friday morning as he left his parents' home in Camillus.

See which Starbucks stores are closing Tuesday afternoon for bias training
The company said it will release training materials to the public next week, so others can use it. There's a reason why you won't be able to get your afternoon pick-me-up from Starbucks on Tuesday.

During his auto trouble, he told reporters he said goodbye "more or less" to his parents before jumping into his rumbling station wagon. Rotondo refused the judge's request to work things out directly with his parents, who sat quietly nearby.

Mr Rotondo said he wanted no further contact with his mother and father once he moved out of the property, which is 260 miles (420km) north of New York City.

Rotondo had never contributed to any household expenses or assisted in any household chores after moving back in eight years ago, according to papers filed with the NY court. Rotondo has lamented that he recently lost custody of his son, and that his parents were weren't sympathetic to the situation, which "devastated" him.

"Rotondo said that wasn't good enough and called police".

Christina and Mark Rotondo sued their son after repeatedly sending formal letters asking him to leave.
