Trump calls for deporting illegal immigrants with 'no judges or court cases'

President Donald Trump ramped up his attacks on the United States' immigration system on Sunday, calling for those immigrants who illegally enter the country to be deported without judicial proceedings.

On Twitter Trump wrote, "We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country".

Trump said once "somebody comes in" the country, they should be removed with "no Judges or Court Cases" - a move that would violate the long-established legal precedent for immigrants' rights to due process.

It was unclear if Trump was advocating an expansion of the provision that allows expedited removals of illegal immigrants at or near the US border, a policy his administration has embraced since he took office.

People rally near the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Building to demand that thousands of children taken from their immigrant parents by border officials under recent controversial Trump administration policies be reunited on June 23, 2018 in San Diego, California.

Last week, Rep. Mike Coffman (R., Colo.), who faces a tough re-election in a district with a large Hispanic population, said that Stephen Miller, one of Mr. Trump's top advisers on immigration policy, "has to go".

In a tweet today, the president said Democrats need to "fix the laws" and not resist. That required children to be separated from parents because they are not legally allowed to be kept in detention for more than 20 days. "They say the President is still 100 per cent behind us", McCaul said on Fox News Sunday. At the Nevada Republican Conference in Las Vegas on Saturday, Trump continued to advocate for the "zero tolerance" policy and said that he wants immigration based on merit.

Johnson, who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said decades of "well intentioned" decisions were responsible for surges in illegal border crossings over the years. "Strong Borders, No Crime!" In Nevada, almost one in every five people was born outside the US, government figures show, giving it one of the highest proportions of immigrants in the nation. He has a lot of catching up to do with members of the Twitter #Resistance spreading the #BlueWave and #BlueWave2018 hashtags as they have been doing ever since Trump was elected. Mr. Trump last week signed an executive order aimed at ending the separations, but his aides are struggling to carry it out, and to reunite the separated families.

Democrats, however, have hopes of retaking control of at least one of the chambers, with USA analysts say they have a better chance of regaining control of the House, where all 435 seats are being contested.

"The United States government knows the location of all children in its custody and is working to reunite them with their families", the department said in a statement late Saturday.
