  • Plane crashes outside South Africa's Pretoria injuring 20 people at least one critical – officials

A plane crash north of Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon has left at least 20 people injured‚ four of whom are critical‚ including the pilot‚ paramedics said.

"Medics from ER24 and other services are at the scene of a plane crash at Wonderboom in Pretoria", said a spokesman for ER24.

Unconfirmed reports said one person was critically injured.

Social media photos showed the plane's fuselage broken, dented, and charred, amid a plume of smoke.

Mr Meiring said ER24 helicopters were on the scene to airlift any critical patients to hospital.

The Aviodrome aerospace theme park near the central Dutch city of Lelystad said on its Facebook page that it was "hugely shocked" by the crash.
