  • 'Ant-Man and the Wasp': Should you stick around after the credits?

Ant-Man And The Wasp was going to tie into Avengers 4, but for most of the movie, it's not on your mind.

Which did you enjoy more: Ant-Man or Ant-Man and The Wasp? If they send Scott back to Earth outside of his own time period, it could explain why we've seen leaked photos of the Avengers and Loki circa the Battle of NY.

Marvel's latest film, Ant-Man and the Wasp was released in United States theatres on Friday, one week before we'll get to see it in India. He's just going in with the Ant-Man suit and a plucky attitude.

A few days ago, we learned the official reason why certain Marvel heroes were chosen to die after Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War. Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly and Hope van Dyne are on the outside, monitoring him.

The second post-credits scene takes place immediately after the first.

There's basically an endless list of possibilities revolving around the Quantum Realm.

Naturally, we expect that Scott will eventually find his way out of the Quantum Realm without Hope, Hank, or Janet's help (we're counting on you, Luis!) and that his adventures in the subatomic dimension will somehow help the Avengers defeat Thanos and undo the effects of his universe-balancing snap, but we honestly have no idea how at this point - and that's pretty exciting. Scott was warned to avoid any time vortexes in the Quantum Realm, and that seems like a very specific piece of information to drop on the audience.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War" brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. It's probable-maybe even likely-that when the Stones destroy matter, they're not actually vaporizing it, but instead forcing it to phase out of our reality into another-maybe even into a place that is touching or related to the Quantum Realm. It may even be out of Thanos' reach, or at least his awareness. Of course, there's the chance that Scott just got lucky enough to not be one of the people randomly chosen, but he's atypical for the surviving group in that he wasn't one of the original Avengers, which is one of the major commonalities between almost all of the remaining heroes post-Infinity War.

This doesn't quite answer why Ant-Man wasn't in the battle at Wakanda, but it does set up where he is in Avengers 4, and it's particularly intriguing that he's trapped in the Quantum Realm.
