Trump Dismisses Collusion with Russia, Alleges Democrat 'Witch Hunt'

Reports of Mueller seeking a sit down with Agalarov come amid negations between President Trump's lawyers and the special counsel's office to narrow down possible interview by prosecutors.

This was Trump's most direct demand yet that Sessions, who infuriated the president by recusing himself from the investigation, intervene to end the probe.

In a series of tweets Wednesday morning, Trump said Sessions should stop the Mueller probe, which he again labelled as "Rigged Witch Hunt". "Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to United States of America!" he wrote. That is what Rep. Adam B. Schiff (Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, and other Democrats have asserted.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, as is her want, tried to give the president wiggle room to protect him against self-incrimination.

Cohen is willing to tell Mueller that Trump lied about his knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting in 2016 between senior members of his campaign and a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer touting dirt on Hillary Clinton.

If anything resembling the story of the Trump administration had been pitched in a novel, every publisher in the known galaxy would have rejected the manuscript on the basis of it being too fantastical. But Trump, flustered by the probe, is reportedly pushing his team to keep negotiating under the belief he can clear himself of wrongdoing in an interview.

Citing three people briefed on the matter, The New York Times reported last month that Mueller is reviewing Trump's tweets as well as "negative statements" made by the President related to the attorney general and former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, whom Trump abruptly fired previous year.

Manafort served as Trump's campaign chief from May to August 2016 and the president asked Wednesday: "why didn't government tell me that he was under investigation".

Trump's tweet had raised the concern that he may try to more directly bring Mueller's probe to a premature end.

Sekulow declined to comment on the new Mueller proposal and whether the Trump team might accept the offer.

The president's tweets on Wednesday were greeted warily on Capitol Hill, with most lawmakers, regardless of party, urging Trump to let the probe run its course.

Robert Mueller, who is investigating the Russian interference in the 2016 us presidential election, wants to interrogate the singer, Interfax pens.

"Looking back on history, who was treated worse, Alfonse Capone, legendary mob boss, killer and 'Public Enemy Number One, ' or Paul Manafort", he wrote.

The emails published by Trump Jr. show publicist Rob Goldstone telling Trump that singer Emin Agalarov and his father, developer Aras Agalarov, had "helped along" the Russian government's support for Trump.

"Had Trump directed a recused AG to terminate an investigation into his conduct and the conduct of those around him in private, we would nearly surely deem it a criminal act", says Joyce White Vance, a former federal prosecutor.

Litman, meanwhile, told anchor Brooke Baldwin that he would construe Trump's tweet as a command.
