The national forecaster has issued a status yellow rainfall warning that is due to come into force at midday tomorrow.
The remnants of the hurricane, now downgraded to tropical storm strength, are to impact the United Kingdom with powerful gusts and heavy rain from Monday evening.
Strong winds are expected to batter the borough this week as Storm Helene edges closer.
Some weakening is expected by Monday and Helene is forecast to be absorbed by another low pressure area by early Tuesday.
