After weeks of testing, Google's Chrome web browser has today received a new lick of paint, giving it a whole new look in the process.

Although Google updates Chrome every six weeks, this one's a little bit special, with a completely refreshed look for the browser, including rounded shapes, a fresh color palette, and new icons. Google has also made changes to the UI to boost your productivity. For iOS, it moved the toolbar to the bottom of the screen to make it easier to reach. This new password manager can "more accurately fill in your passwords, addresses, and credit card numbers, so that you can breeze through online checkout forms". "Chrome will save it, and next time you sign in, it'll be there, on both your laptop and phone", said Google. In case you're wondering about performance, Google says it continues to work on improving startup time, latency, memory use and more, although it doesn't seem we'll see changes there to this particular build.

Plus, there's another bonus as, if you find yourself with a huge array of tabs open across three browser windows, Chrome will now tell you a website is already open and let you jump straight to it with "Switch to tab". Google informed that the version 69 of Google Chrome for desktop, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux comes with new features alongside the revamped design.

To play the game, either turn off your WiFi and open a new tab, or enter chrome://dino/ In your search bar. It will also auto-generate a secure password when you create a new account on a website and then store it securely and make it available, from your Chrome account, on your other devices. 'Already, we're working on integrating augmented reality (AR) into Chrome to bring information that you interact with across the web and put directly into your physical environment, ' he explains.

Another engineer pointed out that font rendering worked just fine in the beta version of Chrome 69.0.3497.81 but apparently broke down when the browser was released as the official stable release. "With AI, Chrome will also better understand what you're trying to get done, and help you do so faster".

There's one more update debuting alongside Chrome 69. You can take personalization to a new level in the latest Chrome by customizing the background of new blank tabs you open and adding your own shortcut to your favorite websites.

After testing custom wallpapers from Google Photos and custom shortcuts in the Canary version, Google is now rolling out these features to the stable version of Chrome.

The Omnibar, Google's term for the address bar turned search bar, is learning some new tricks too.
