  • FBI Investigating Claim GOP Operative Offered Woman $20K to Falsely Accuse Mueller of Sexual Assault: Report

The FBI is investigating an anonymous woman's claim that she was offered $20,000 to accuse Special Counsel Robert Mueller of sexual assault. Mueller is leading the Department of Justice's investigation into whether the Trump team colluded with the Kremlin during the 2016 election.

The FBI is now investigating whether women have been offered money to publicly make false claims against Mr. Mueller. The reporters then contacted the special counsel's office to report that they had been approached about the scheme.

Robert Mueller's office says somebody is offering women money to make false allegations of sexual harassment against him, and it's asking the FBI to investigate.

Wohl is allegedly involved in an attempted plot to smear Robert Mueller - who is now investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 US election- orchestrated by Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman.

This is not the first time that Burkman - a GOP lobbyist who has peddled a number of conspiracy theories - has seen his plans to announce some salacious revelation fall apart at the last minute.

The Special Counsel was appointed to investigate Russia's attempts to influence the election that made Donald Trump President. While Burkman was pushing false allegations about the death of DNC staffer Seth Rich, he promised a press conference with a man whom he said had damning information about the murder, but the man did not show up in person.

The woman told the reporters that she had worked for Mueller as a paralegal at the Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro law firm in 1974.

Obama also touted the campaigns of Nevada gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak and U.S. House candidates Susie Lee and Steven Horsford.

And the entire company appears to have been created around three weeks ago with the sole aim of giving the accusations against Mueller an (incredibly thin) veneer of credibility. Reporters only began publicly hinting at the existence of the email after Burkman and Wohl previewed earlier this week a "sad" and "scandalous" story coming out about Mueller.

The Atlantic says Parsons alleges that Surefire Intelligence had contacted her, offering to give her $20,000 "to make accusations of sexual misconduct and workplace harassment against Robert Mueller".

NBC News reported the odd suspected plot may have been concocted by Surefire Intelligence, a self-professed "intel agency" with a website whose domain records contain an email address belonging to Jacob Wohl, a pro-Trump troll known for spreading misinformation and far-right conspiracy theories.

Wohl denied any involvement with Surefire Intelligence, but Burkman told the Hill Reporter that Surefire is a "real company" that does "a lot of good research" and is run by Wohl.

"I have a signed dossier from her", Burkman claimed. Mr. Burkman orchestrated the press conference with the help of Jacob Wohl, a conservative Twitter personality.

Surefire Intelligence was incorporated in DE less than three weeks ago, according to online records, and describes itself as "a private intel agency that designs and executes bespoke solutions for businesses and individuals who face complex business and litigation challenges".
