After an average start of Rs 20.14 crore, it dipped further on the second day with Rs 18.22 crore. The film's total earning by Sunday stands at Rs 107 crore. Despite having zero competition at the box office, the SRK's solo movie released this week failed to generate great business.

In the overseas market, Zero has performed similarly. The film sees the superstar, miniaturised with special effects, caught up in a love triangle alongside a wheel-chaired scientist Anushka Sharma.

While SRK's portrayal of a dwarf man named Bauua Singh has been praised by moviegoers, Zero has not been able to perform as the film-makers would have expected.

The film may gain some ground thanks to the Christmas holiday this week but the real potential will only be known post the festivities. The actress was not able to be with her family for the festival due to promotional activities for her film 'Zero'.

Talking about the film, then Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu fame director Aanand L Rai had directed this film.
