Conway's comment came a day after Trump himself sounded a different tone about Mueller.

"To date, the attorney general has followed through on his commitments to Congress".

President Trump set the tone telling reporters at a White House event Monday that the role of those behind the "evil things", the "treasonous things", as he described the probe, will be "looked at", an indication that another probe was in the making, to investigate the reasons for the Russian Federation investigation.

A Justice Department official said it will take Attorney General William Barr "weeks, not months" to finish reviewing Mueller's Trump-Russia investigation report and make a version available for the public.

Numerous charges against the Trump associates were related to lying to Congress or federal investigators.

However, Barr also says that Mueller's report states that "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities".

Trump has said he "wouldn't mind" if the full report were released.

Six House Democratic committee chairmen wrote to Barr that his summary is "not sufficient" and asked to have the full report by April 2.

Congressional Democrats say they want access to all of Mueller's findings - and his supporting evidence. He stated that, while Mueller had not made an actual conclusion whether Trump obstructed justice, the report's findings did not justify pursuing an obstruction of justice charge.

Jacinda Ardern orders Royal Commission Inquiry into Christchurch terror attack
The Prime Minister said the seriousness of the attack and the need for answers needed to be weighed up. The details of the commission, including its duration, will be finalised this week, she said.

No one outside the Justice Department has yet seen the report, including the White House.

But challenges are ahead for both the Republicans and the Democrats who hope to deny Trump re-election next year.

Other targets for Trump and his allies are the investigators and lawyers who asked the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court for authorization in 2016 to collect the communications of a onetime junior campaign adviser named Carter Page.

He didn't name names, but Trump has spent months railing against former Justice Department officials, including former FBI Director James Comey, accusing them of an illegal witch hunt for the goal of delegitimizing his presidency.

And the White House's deputy communications director, Adam Kennedy, told NPR on Monday that Schiff and others "were not just completely wrong, they were misleading the public about what the president had done and they deserve to be held accountable for that".

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Sean Hannity Monday that he still wants to find out whether Hillary Clinton was exonerated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2016 due to "political bias".

Trump pledged new investigations but did not specify who would conduct them or who should be targeted. This summary raises as may questions as it was supposed to answer.

Trump also said he had not thought about pardoning anyone convicted or who pleaded guilty in the Mueller probe.
